Let’s make it.

  1. Heat the oven to 390°F (200°C). Put the broccoli and water in a covered saucepan and steam for 4–5 minutes, until just beginning to soften. Drain any remaining water.
  2. Spread the broccoli in a roughly 25 × 20 cm baking dish. Tuck the salmon pieces among the florets.
  3. Whisk the cream, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over the fish and broccoli, then sprinkle with Parmesan.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden and the center of the casserole reaches 165°F (74°C). Check between the largest pieces of fish.
  5. Rest for 3 minutes, then divide into 4 servings, spooning the sauce over each portion.
